Our Principal Consultant, Deepak Chhibber has over 35 years of experience in the maritime industry and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. His career began at sea, where he rose through the ranks from deck cadet to Master, commanding a wide variety of vessels for leading shipping companies. This experience, encompassing 7 years in command, instilled a strong foundation in leadership and operational excellence.

In 2008, Deepak transitioned to a shore-based role in Dubai. Since then, he has thrived in a diverse range of marine services for clients in the Oil & Gas sector. His expertise spans general marine and offshore suitability surveys, Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) services for complex projects like rig moves and semi-submersible loadouts/discharges, pipelayer and DP vessel attendance, and heavy lift project support. Deepak's adaptability led him to successfully take on the role of Marine Client Representative for Oil companies.

Deepak's skillset extends far beyond traditional surveying. He is an experienced Hull & Machinery (H&M) and Protection & Indemnity (P&I) surveyor, with extensive experience investigating casualties across a broad spectrum - collisions, groundings, fires, cargo issues, machinery and even yacht incidents. Furthermore, his dedication to risk mitigation is evident in his proven track record of conducting JH143 risk audits for major shipyards, Port & Terminal audits across the Middle East and India, and Marina Risk surveys within the Middle East region.

Deepak's proficiency extends beyond offshore environments. He excels in office-based tasks such as conducting audits, reviewing casualty reports, developing rig move procedures, and securing location approvals for jack-up rigs.
